We currently have a career opportunity available for an experienced Kitchen Supervisor (Pantry) for Banquets.
Our Kitchen Manager supervises kitchen duties by managing the pantry, inventory, controlling how food is stored and prepared, along with supervising how the customers are serviced. A successful Kitchen Manager in our gourmet grocery's kitchen supervises and guides staff to deliver quality, timely food and ensure that all customers are satisfied.
Main Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that all food items and products are stored, prepared and served based on the hotel recipe, preparation and portion standards.
- Evaluating and disciplining kitchen personnel accordingly.
- Supervising food preparation in the kitchen and ensuring that customers are satisfied
- Maintaining clean working environments and making sure that employees follow the restaurant’s preventive maintenance measures.
- Overseeing the training of employees to ensure safe operations of kitchen equipment, utensils and the proper handling of heavy items, and hazardous materials
Experience required:
· At least three (3) years of culinary experience in fine dining or high end catering
· Strong knife skills a must
· Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes
· Flawless track record with attendance
· Strong team-working & Leadership skills
· Positive attitude
· Food handler's safety certified a plus
· Neat, quick and efficient worker
· Highly independent
· Flexibility with scheduling is a must; schedules will include weekends and holidays
