Commercial Insurance Account Manager The Getchell Companies is looking for an experienced insurance account manager/customer service representative. As a CSR, you will act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our clients might face with accuracy and efficiency.
Our agency handles a range of commercial insurance products, with a focus on complex coverage for niche industries, including transportation, waste remediation and manufacturing.
Our goal is to hire a dependable individual to join our experienced team, who is able to offer service that meets/exceeds our client's expectations.
Responsibilities
Educates clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions and insurance needs throughout the year and at renewal
Efficiently manage incoming call/email volume
Pre-qualifies prospective business clients according to agency standards.
Prepare (including client outreach), applications to appropriate carriers; assist producer with follow-up with carriers and clients ahead of renewal
Reviews policies and all documentation for accuracy and quality standards
Assists clients with coverage changes, certificate requests, binders and endorsements, including working with the MA Registry of Motor Vehicles regularly
Actively seeks referrals from current clients and cross-sells additional business services
Manages non-renewals and cancellation requests
Pro-active interest in insurance industry to stay informed on emerging trends, market appetite and products /regulatory changes to provide accurate information to agency and insureds
In-depth knowledge of current computer system functions, input procedures, codes and how to perform technical tasks to expedite client service.
Skills
Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative within the insurance industry
Familiarity with Applied EPIC systems and practices
Experience with Office Suite and PC computers
REQUIRED: Comfortable with commercial insurance products, including but not limited to: business auto, commercial property/package, workers' comp, EPLI, business income/extra expense, GL, inland marine, builders risk, umbrella coverage, etc.
Familiarity with forms and processes of the MA Registry of Motor Vehicles
Knowledge of current insurance marketplace to help communicate and negotiate with underwriters under direction and supervision of licensed P&C producer
Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
Excellent communication & documentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
