POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our team is currently looking for a Procurement Specialist for a client in the Oil and Gas industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Execute defined commodity/segment sourcing strategies for assigned sites, e.g. RFP / tender.
• Negotiate T&Cs or Contracts in alignment with Sourcing Specialist, with regional/local suppliers to achieve minimum TCO.
• Support collection of supplier performance feedback from site stakeholders.
• Manage LYB relationship with local / regional suppliers.
• Support as required/appropriate the implementation of category Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategies with local/regional supplier affiliates/entities.
• Identify and/or champion continuous improvement initiatives that deliver overall efficiency gains.
• Define & implement robust stakeholder engagement plan, ensuring early procurement involvement.
• Train stakeholders on procurement processes and initiatives
• Acts as a direct procurement contact including for urgent orders for internal clients located at various assigned company sites up to agreed spend level.
• Acts as field-based liaison for escalation of requests between sites and ESS team.
• Provide, as required, on-site support and follow-up with stakeholders for procurement initiatives.
• Subject matter expert for SAP procurement processes and systems incl. ESS support.
• Communicate unplanned outages, in a timely manner, to leadership to ensure adequate support & coverage.
• Review, with Maintenance, their 3-6 month lookahead to identify opportunities for value creation; communicate requirements timely.
• Provide site intel inputs to enable development of fit-for-purpose strategy.
• Review / assess commodity strategies to identify gaps / non-strategic spending.
• Provide feedback to Category Managers on commodity strategies.
• Maintain ownership of assigned local / regional contracts, OAs & e-catalogs.
• Develop & maintain annual blanket POs list, coordinate negotiations & PO creation processes.
• Provide on-call / after-hours buying coverage as needed.
• Process or issue POs from PRs; and support other transactional activities as required.
• Act as single point of contact for warehouse / planners for emergencies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 3-4 years related experience
• 2-3 years of chemical / engineering or related industry experience is desirable.
• Turnaround/ Outage experience a plus
• Experience using SAP ERP system for procurement processes
• Experience using Ariba is preferred but not required
• Experience with creating RFx, PO’s, Contracts and SOW (SAP Ariba, SAP ECC)
