The Gripper Kitchen in Pearland, TX is looking for an Experienced to join our 15 person strong team. We are located on 9517 Broadway Street ste 103. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working.


Role Overview 


Gripper Kitchen Staff are wired for Great Customer Service. We're in the people business. From leading the team through a high-energy shift to exceeding Guest expectations on every occasion to ensuring we meet our financial responsibilities, all of our members are the critical link to making a successful operation happen. 


Responsibilities 

  • Train and develop chefs to company standards
  • Create new dishes and menus in accordance with business needs
  • Anticipate ingredient needs and arrange re-stock accordingly
  • Ensure a productive kitchen flow that upholds business standards
  • Ensure a great Guest experience
  • Role model and hold Team Members accountable to operational and quality standards
  • Identify root cause of issues while being self-reflective and holding yourself accountable first, showing vulnerability and transparency
  • Foster open communication between Team Members and Management
  • Influence Team Member behaviors by championing change and restaurant initiatives
  • Lead with heart and mind
  • Drive business results by utilizing Gripper Operation systems to effectively control costs
  • Follow operational systems, such as our Manager Timeline and performing quality Line Checks
  • Hire, train, retain, and develop Team Members to take on larger roles
  • Drive Guest engagement within the four walls of the restaurant while developing relationships within the community
  • Understand and practice safe food handling procedures
  • Communicate and embody The Gripper culture and Cultural Beliefs: Every Guest Counts, Food Perfection, Be Accountable, Knowing that we treat every guest like Family. 
  • Five day work week.
  • Must have strong human relationship skills and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays
  • Must have the "run it like you own it" mentality
  • Must be high-energy, and guest service focused
  • Take Effective Inventory

The Gripper Kitchen was Found in Detroit, MI in 2019. We specialize in Passion Food. We believe in treating the people not Cheating them. We have oversized fun food ready to serve the People Now Don’t Trip Get A Grip. 


About You 

  • Dependable team player
  • Prefers to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Great multitasking skills
  • Experience working as a sous chef or chef
  • High familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines
  • Able to delegate tasks effectively and assist when needed
  • Adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume
