Summary
Teach sport activity to groups by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Explain and demonstrates use of any apparatus and/or equipment.
- Explain and demonstrate principles, techniques, and methods of regulating movement of body, hands, or feet to achieve proficiency in activity.
- Model healthy lifestyle and behaviors consistent with property brand and courses taught.
- Observe students during practice to detect and correct mistakes.
- Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations. Ensure facilities are kept clean and safe.
- Maintain accurate records and timecards; submits required paperwork on time.
- Complete all property specific trainings and attend continuing education courses to stay current on industry trends.
- Knowledgeable of history and purposes of sport and shares information with students.
- Maintain current knowledge of all property programs and amenities; cross-promote these services to students.
- Ensure punctuality; arriving prior to scheduled class start time and concluding classes as scheduled.

- Keep work area neat and organized.
- Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the Employee Handbook.

Qualifications

- Education and/or Experience – Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – Current CPR certification and accredited instructor permit.
Physical Demands
