Event / Party Planner

The Hemp Farmacy is seeking a skilled creative professional with experience in event planning to help in the growth of a local business in one of the most exciting budding retail industries - Cannabis!

What we are looking for: self starter with the skill, inspiration and tools on their belt necessary to work independently in a small team with like minded professionals in a fast paced retail/office environment. Experience in marketing is a must, an eye for graphic design, photography and a knack for creative thinking is a huge plus.

Company Culture: At The Hemp Farmacy, we are all about creating a safe space for cannabis enthusiasts or curious neighbors to come together, ask questions judgement-free, and learn about how Cannabis may fit into their lives for the purpose of their overall wellness. We currently house 4 original hemp brands of our own with a wide range of products, 7 retail dispensary locations, and 3 e-commerce stores, all in need of marketing assistance.

Main Duties Include:

Collaborating with the Brand Coordinator to send marketing updates to customers, scheduling and coordinating educational product showcases for potential and existing customers, leading local outreach at markets and events, coordinating in-store events. This position will require ability to travel as needed to Wilmington, NC / Southport, NC / Raleigh, NC / Jacksonville, NC and surrounding areas based on event participation. Weekend availability is required.

Skills Required:

Customer Service Experience, Strong Communication and Organization, Event Coordination. Must be outgoing and comfortable in small to large groups of people, public speaking, being photographed / recorded at events, and ability to lead team members.

We would love it if you had:

• Professional, creative, positive attitude, Familiarity with Cannabis/the cannabis industry, Experience with Shopify e-commerce, Retail Cloud POS systems, SEO knowledge, Customer Service Experience, Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Premiere Pro, Skilled at product photography/video mediums and editing.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
