Job Summary: Fire Sprinkler Service Technicians are responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings. The Fire Sprinkler Service Technician’s expertise in fire protection systems and exceptional problem-solving skills will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of client fire suppression systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet the required safety standards. This includes inspecting valves, gauges, pipes, and sprinkler heads for signs of damage or wear.
- Perform maintenance tasks on fire sprinkler systems, such as replacing damaged or malfunctioning components, cleaning pipes and sprinkler heads, lubricating moving parts, and adjusting system settings to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire sprinkler systems, including identifying and repairing leaks, replacing faulty parts, and restoring system functionality in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, maintenance activities, and repairs performed on fire sprinkler systems. Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for clients, documenting any deficiencies and proposed corrective actions.
- Stay updated on local fire codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure that all inspections, maintenance, and repairs are carried out in accordance with the required guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining system functionalities, and offering recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections performed, ensuring compliance with documentation and reporting requirements.
- Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fire sprinkler systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications
Education, Licensure & Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- NICET Level II Certification preferred.
Experience:
- 2 years of experience, preferably in fire/life safety industry or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Capabilities:
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the FLS industry.
- Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, including different types, components, and installation methods.
- Knowledge of NFPA code requirements
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to work on-call rotational schedule, to respond to emergency situations and repairs
