The Regional Transportation Manager/Logistics Manager will be responsible for carrier performance to on-time pickup, transit and delivery from any of our DC platforms (SDC, RDC, DFC, MDOs), and delivery to a variety of destinations. Responsible for executing and influencing transportation strategy to drive service and and minimize cost per mile, while ensuring the highest level of professionalism with our carrier partners and suppliers. Ability to support a team in a fast paced ever-evolving environment. Develops, implements, and monitors all logistics management activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and distribution of products.

- Ability to manage and support multiple levels of transportation complexity
- Must have very strong customer service skills
- Must be a great communicator and able to build very strong relationships with both internal and external partners
- Develops solutions that leverage the Company' s volumes, systems and partnerships while providing consistently high levels of customer service in a cost-effective manner.
- Identifies and prioritizes logistics needs and communicates recommendations to upper management in order to achieve efficient product distribution.
- Provides data and recommendations on product tracking, route analysis, rerouting, costing and usage alternatives.
- Advises IS and system users in the development and implementation of logistics systems improvements and changes.
- Responds to Requests for Information (RFI) from potential software vendors.
- Tests vendor software packages to identify potential shortcomings; ascertains vendors' ability to customize products to Home Depot specifications.
- Consistently meet service expectations.
