What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at The Hope Learning Center LLC?
Job Goal: Support the HR team and organization leaders to ensure that Hope’s teams meet the needs of our clients and organization. This position will be instrumental in upholding Hope’s mission and vision while ensuring our clients are served The Hope Way! The individual in this role will have regular involvement in the areas of performance management, HR compliance, compensation and benefits, and talent acquisition with the opportunity to gain exposure to other functions of human resources.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- SHRM-CP/PHR certification (Preferred)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
HR Compliance
- Manage workers compensation, unemployment, and FMLA processes for assigned Hope entities
- Manage the employee offboarding process for assigned Hope entities
- Oversee, implement, and audit record keeping practices
- Oversee, implement, and audit pre-employment processes
- Ensure all policies are implemented consistently across assigned Hope entities
- Support the HR team in maintaining, updating, and developing Hope policies
- Maintain up to date knowledge and compliance for labor laws and regulations
Performance Management
- Participate in weekly supervisor meetings for all Hope entities to guide employee management
- Support supervisors in completing formal and informal performance appraisals
- Guide supervisors in all areas of employee management
- Lead and support supervisors in implementing corrective action efforts
- Collaborate with the Training Specialist and HR team to identify training needs for existing employees
- Support new hires in navigating the onboarding process
- Collaborate with the Training Specialist to facilitate a positive onboarding experience for employees,updating processes as needed
- Facilitate career coaching and employee development initiatives with employees and supervisors
- Collaborate with supervisors to develop and implement knowledge management systems
Compensation & Benefits
- Serve as liaison to benefit providers and coordinate benefit elections with employees
- Support in the communication and implementation of open enrollment
- Consult with supervisors to generate candidate employment offers
- Lead change of status processes for employees experiencing a change in position, assignment, or compensation
Talent Acquisition
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team and supervisors to identify hiring needs, maintain job descriptions, and facilitate internal job changes
- Support in the candidate interview process
Misc.
- Act as HR point of contact for all employees within assigned Hope entity
- Listen to employee feedback and help grow a company culture rooted in accountability, employee engagement, and customer service
- Collaborate with supervisors to conduct employee investigations for suspected violation of Hope policies
- Collaborate with the HR team on special projects and committees
- Cross-train on other HR roles and tasks
- Complete other responsibilities as directed by the CEO or your direct supervisor

- Experience with ADP Workforce Now ® and GSuite (preferred)
