The Nursing Supervisor provides administrative and clinical supervision to all staff throughout the hospital on their assigned shift. The Nursing Supervisor is a liaison to department directors and administration to ensure coordinated and efficient operations of services and departments. The Nursing Supervisor promotes care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of The Horsham Clinic and the ANA Standards of Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Care. The Nursing Supervisor must demonstrate flexibility and the knowledge and skills required to manage units providing care to a varied population including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients.
Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, MSN preferred
- 4 years clinical experience with a psychiatric, mental health population preferred
- Clinical Supervisor experience in psychiatric setting preferred
- Licensure: Current license or eligibility for licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania
- Demonstrates working knowledge of behavioral mental health, nursing clinical practices, and management
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
- Proficiency with common computer based applications such as electronic mail, word processing and various databases
- Exposure to psychiatric patients. General hospital environment.
