Cashier

We are a small family-owned restaurant serving fantastic Rotisserie Chicken, Chicken Tenders, and other assortments of southern style cuisine. We are here to create amazing food and experiences for our customers and guests. The Howlin Bird management believes that, to create this experience we need to be clear on all expectations and want you to understand what your responsibilities are. We want everyone here to grow, succeed, and be the best they can be.

We Expect

We expect our employees to have open availability if hired in at a part/full-time position. The part/full-time QB needs to be able to work weekends, mornings, nights, and holidays. We expect all employees to perform the following tasks.

* Looking for friendly person with a smile to give great customer service.

· Complete the Serv-Safe course required by The Howlin Bird

· Learn, understand, and know The Howlin Bird Menus (this includes knowing what is in each dish and bar & beverage)

· Treat every guest like they are a VIP

· Set up the dining room the way The Howlin Bird has instructed

· Use knowledge of common allergies and dietary restrictions to accommodate any guest's needs

· Always have a presence in the lobby or on the floor (there must be one person in the lobby or watching the lobby at all times, you are responsible for that)

· Be proactive!!! If there is downtime use it to bus tables, sweep the dining room, restock cups, re-stock straws, roll silverware, stock ketchup packets, stock mayonnaise packets, etc.

· Practice appropriate hygiene required by The Ohio Health Department

· Check on all guests and patrons periodically throughout your shift

· Pre-bus and bus all dirty tables as soon as you can

·· Pro-actively use non-peak service times to prepare for peak service times and rushes

· Avoid food waste by asking questions and repeating orders taken over the phone or in person

· Clean each station you are scheduled (cashier, expo, busser, etc.) to The Howlin Bird’s standards

· Stock and restock the station that you are working with all products as needed (cashier, expo, busser, etc.)

· Be respectful to all co-workers and managers

· Be on time and in uniform to all of your scheduled shifts

All tips are pooled throughout the shift and divided by the number of hours worked that shift. Also, all tips are paid on your paycheck.

Pay: $9.00 - $18.00 per hour
