Schedule: This will be a full-time, Mon- Thurs with rotating Fridays at other locations.
Patient Care Coordinator Position:
As the Patient Care Coordinator, you are the first and last impression a patient has with our office - therefore, your job is paramount to the success of our practice. Your interactions need to highlight our office’s core values from the initial telephone contact until the patient comes into the office and lastly when the patient leaves the office with another visit scheduled. Your job is to ensure the patient experiences VIP care throughout their entire experience with our practice.
Patient Care Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities
- Restock amenities bar
- Organize and straighten the waiting room
- All appointments for the next day are confirmed
- Ensure the schedule for the next day is to goal with no openings
- All appointments confirmed two days in advance
- Route slips and schedules printed and highlighted for the next day
- Prepare morning huddle report
- Have the first three patients ready to check in on the kiosk
- Know where all new patient’s referral sources are for the day
- Insurance verified two days in advance
- Patient check-in
- New patient paperwork
- Take patient chart picture
- Scanning ID card and insurance card
- Collect patient balances prior to the patient going back to the clinical area if time allows.
- Collect any money owed, and post to the account
- Schedule NV if not done in the back office
- Present Treatment Plan/financial options
- Mark appointments as complete
- Savings plan renewals completed and collected when notified by the billing dept
- Direct patient statement question phone calls to the billing dept
- Closing duties, to include but not limited to:
- Reconciling deposits/money received
- Check procedures set complete correctly
- Claims created (procedures attached to INS)
- Help back office with sterilization
- Send reactivation letters to patients not in practice for the past two years
- And other duties as assigned
Patient Care Coordinator Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of front-office experience in the general dental practice setting. This includes insurance knowledge, treatment planning and treatment presentation.

Patient Care Coordinator Pay:
$16-20/hour or depending on experience
