Intake Therapist
Job Posting for Intake Therapist at The Inner You Counseling Center
The Inner You Counseling Center is seeking a qualified and experienced Intake Therapist to help provide crisis emergency care and perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments to determine appropriateness of care within the practice.
A successful candidate must be able to:
- Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis.
- Perform and record mental status examination and documentation.
- Develop and present a clear clinical formulation based on behavioral data and relevant theory while incorporating psychosocial and family issues.
- Provide progress notes in appropriate format.
- Gather all relevant clinical data in order to make an informed preliminary diagnosis.
- Develop initial treatment goals for patients.
- Assess level of care, and facilitate higher levels of care when needed.
- Completion of Biophsychosocial, missed appointment notes, phone call notes, etc. within 24 hours of service.
- Make clinically justified recommendations for the client’s treatment plan.
- Educate clients on treatment services that are available.
- Identify client risk levels and maintain client safety through crisis intervention.
- Manage and refine client tracking systems.
Qualifications:
- LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT required.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized and stay on task.
- Ability to self-assess and prioritize important tasks.
