Job Description
The Director, Talent Acquisition (DTA) is responsible leading companywide Talent Acquisition function and growing team. A member of our HR leadership team, and reporting to the Vice President, Global Human Resources the DTA must proactively identify best practice, risk, and opportunities in support of our people talent growth objectives and act as a strategic business partner to internal stakeholders on behalf of the company. This requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and expertise on current talent acquisition strategies related to the mass participation/sports industry.
This is a hands-on roll-up your sleeves role! You will build and scale the Talent Acquisition team to meet the growth trajectory of the organization. You will partner with functional leaders to build a solid pipeline of talent meeting shifting seasonal resource needs while creating solid candidate pools for future career opportunities. You will partner with HR Business Partners to scale the Talent Acquisition process, analytics, vision, and strategic plan to align with local, current and forecasted talent needs as the organization evolves.

Essential Function:
- Develop and execute the TA strategy across multiple markets to attract and hire the best talent for the organization, working closely with the operational and HR leaders
- Oversee recruiters, partner with regional Talent Acquisition staff, HR Business Partners and employment representatives in staffing activities and identifies, maintains, and manages contracts with recruiting sources.
- Establish and oversee maintenance of effective servicing avenues and internal/external resume tracking systems to speed the process of identifying qualified candidates.
- Develop and implement recruiting plans to staff open requisitions while minimizing cost per hire and provides information feedback trends and concerns of candidates to HR Business Partners and management as appropriate.
- Partner with Human Resources leaders and functional leaders to build a strong talent bench while creating succession and career progression plans.
- Act as a strategic partner with key leaders and hiring managers by providing expertise and consultation in talent sourcing, recruiting,
- Lead, manage and champion IM’s Internship Program.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing projects to increase operation-wide recruiting and onboarding efficiency and effectiveness
- Partner with HR Business partners to build a consistent and exceptional onboarding experience for staff.
- Identify future talent needs in partnership with the business and develop proactive recruiting and sourcing methodologies to meet those needs
- Develop recruiting strategies that include social media, job boards, Internet sourcing, and other technical means to source candidates for open requisitions
- Responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning and execution of the talent acquisition strategy in support of IRONMAN’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
- Develop and drive pipeline strategies in tandem with enterprise-wide strategies including schools and other community outreach programs
- Build and champion outreach programs in support of organization’s DE&I initiative
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of Monthly reviews for deep dive on recruiting performance
- Actively coach hiring managers on best hiring practices (sourcing, interviewing skills etc.).
- Partner with functional areas of Human Resources including Total Rewards (compensation/benefits) and HR Business partners to ensure an optimal candidate and hiring manager experience
- Provide guidance in decision-making by using data and analytics to influence business decisions to support the corporate strategy
- Partner with HR Business Partners and functional leaders and engage with them at a high level to understand their obstacles and challenges while sharing market talent conditions.

- Manage and oversight for Global International Assignment Program
- Manages internal mobility initiatives to include immigration process (L1’s, TNs, Visa etc.) partnering with Regional HR Business Partners, Leaders and external vendors and service providers.
- Manages The IRONMAN Group relocation program partnering Human Resources Leaders and external vendors
- Provides general Human Resources support to North America Region.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or other related discipline required.
- SPHR or PHR preferred
- 7 years of talent acquisition experience
- Proven experience leading and developing a high performing talent acquisition team in a fast-paced, environment.
- Success in identifying high-quality candidates in all business functions through targeted, highly effective talent acquisition strategies and campaigns
- Experience building and executing on a brand strategy that creates a “Best Place to Work” culture
- Experience leveraging data to create reports that provide insights to make better hiring decisions
- Experience with ATS, Sourcing, and Recruitment Marketing tools
- Proven success at building creative programs that build The IRONMAN Group brand globally (early career talent, university research, and intern / apprenticeships)
- Demonstrated accountability for the management of compliance activities related to EEOC, GDPR, pre-employment processes, and immigration-related activities (H1 sponsorship, etc.)
- Must be highly organized, analytical, action and detail-oriented with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and collaborate cross-functionally and geographically to establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence on a global platform.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)
- Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations
- Workforce and succession planning preferred
- Sports/Mass Event Recruiting experience preferred
