Continuous Improvement Specialist - Orangeburg, SC (Relocation Offered)
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist who employs a range of abilities, including project design, leadership, and management, to ensure performance enhancement and process evolution.
This role involves utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
The individual in this role is tasked with planning, scheduling, and executing continuous improvement activities within a manufacturing facility’s production floor.
Compensation
$120,000 - $130,000 Discretionary Bonus 401k (50%) Match, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, PTO.
Relocation is offered for candidates moving.

Key Responsibilities
- Pinpointing opportunities for process enhancement, waste elimination, and cost reduction
- Organizing, facilitating, and carrying out continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools
- Instructing, guiding, and coaching cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology
- Striving for continuous process improvement on the production floor and transactional areas by collaborating with various functions such as logistics
Additional Responsibilities
- Clearly outlining program objectives and scope
- Assessing and prioritizing potential improvements based on benefits and required effort
- Securing employee commitment (e.g., process managers) for proactive change management
- Formulating a clear and comprehensive implementation plan
- Setting criteria for the project’s success and preparing a robust statement of constraints / limiting factors
- Implementing governance principles appropriately
- Resolving technical issues such as formulation, equipment, product, interpretation of regulations, and resource availability
- Identifying intervention priorities and indicators
- Conducting a thorough analysis of the current situation that accurately outlines the issues
- Defining deliverables, outcome indicators, and performance-measured indicators
- Identifying available resources (e.g., people, material, and finances)
- Detailing the desired situation

- Analyzing options accurately, including impact and feasibility
- Identifying obstacles and strategies to overcome them through continuous improvement
