Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Plant Engineer for their manufacturing facility near Wilmington, NC. This position includes a sign on relocation bonus for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Reports directly to Plant Manager
- Seeks to drive Plant performance to greater productivity levels
- Develops material labor cost standards and estimates
- Ultimate responsibility over 13 FTE (1 FTE supervisor) in a 2 line production facility
- Assists in the development evaluation of Capital projects and other cost improvement projects
- Ensures workflow of employees is proper and effective
- Ensures processes and procedures are proper and effective
- Provides maintenance and upgrades of production data systems
- Performs special projects/studies as assigned
- 5 years of work experience within food, beverage, or any high speed/highly automated packaging/manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated application of various industrial engineering techniques
- Strong lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience
- Perform tasks with minimal supervision and capable of handling/prioritizing several tasks at once
- Extremely detail and deadline oriented
- Proven CapEx project management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven maintenance and CMMS experience
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact positively with all team members
