Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide leadership for a team of Account Managers in the defined Kendall Electric territory. Additionally, this role administers the strategy and direction for the assigned team in alignment with the overall Kendall Electric strategy.
Position Description:
- Improve sales force effectiveness through the annual sales planning process including periodic review. Develop and implement counter-measures as required.
- Support strategic company initiatives impacting field sale organization, including but not limited to supplier partnership programs, sales promotions, e-commerce, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and integrated solutions.
- Provide input to executive staff on current market conditions, significant opportunities for growth and changing customer dynamics.
- Develop and maintain “Top-to-Top” relationships with key accounts.
- Provide leadership in personnel related functions such as recruiting, hiring, evaluation, training, discipline, and termination.
- Coach, mentor, performance monitoring and support regional sales team/office.
Required Experience:
- Electrical Distribution: 3 years preferred
- 2 years’ experience managing and directing a sales department.
- Above average communication and negotiating skills.
- Excellent presentation skills to influence effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
- Product knowledge of related manufacturers, applications, and pricing structures is beneficial.
- Customer visitation and offsite work activities require a good driving record and a dependable vehicle.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
