The King's Daughters' School is a private, residential boarding school that serves individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.
We are seeking Direct Care Assistants to care for students with intellectual disabilities and autism in a classroom and residential setting. CPR and Handle with Care training provided.
Schedule: 3 days a week, 7pm-7am,days rotate weekly
Minimum requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism preferred.
- Be in good health and free of mental and/or physical limitations which would interfere in dealing appropriately with the client’s handicapping conditions and behavior disorders.
- Clean criminal background (no felony convictions, abuse, assault, neglect convictions).
Primary responsibilities:
- Maintain a warm, family-or home-like environment.
- ADLs, social skills, behavior management.
- Ensure the classrooms or residential areas are left in a clean and orderly manner.
