Position Overview
We seek a highly motivated, passionate individual with a positive attitude to join our team, which we expect to grow into Head of Events and Partnerships. The successful candidate will be the point person for member events (masterclasses, workshops, panels, special events, dinners, etc…), working with the Marketing team to program and promote events, and the Events Operations Team to facilitate the venue setup. Along with member events, they will be responsible for building connections with potential partners, creating proposal decks that showcase creative activations and value propositions, and conducting ongoing outreach for KINN rentals and brand partnerships.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the KINN Member Event calendar, ensuring all events are listed, accurate, and promoted.
- Work with the Membership and Social team to promote upcoming events.
- Engage members to host their own workshops, programs, and activations.
- Maintain and increase member retention through thoughtful programming.
- Be the front-facing person for events hosted by KINN Members and partners.
- Responsible for tracking event statistics (headcount, feedback, member engagement, etc…).
Event Planning
- Oversee all event logistics and coordination while leading the event team in executing high-caliber events, including, but not limited to, invoicing, venue setup/teardown, collecting speaker bios, headshots, session titles, and session descriptions, day-of staff management, and more.
- Drive sales and external bookings of Horizon House for parties, studio space, external events, and more.
- Oversee and manage event coordinators, interns, vendors, and hourly staff.
Other
- Actively participate in the growth and expansion of The KINN.
- Build out brand partnerships and sponsorships.
- Actively contribute to SOPs, internal projects, and organizational growth opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in events, sales, partnership management, member experience, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying, securing, and retaining partnerships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry trends and best practices.
- Experience with CRM and project management software.
- A team player with leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
