Our client, The Lakeland Companies, a company that provides back office support to a variety of companies in the electrical engineering and manufacturing space, is looking for a Human Resource Generalist to join their dynamic team.
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing administrative support on day-to-day payroll and benefits issues. This individual will be a primary administrator for our Human Resources Information System, Ascentis. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate information in Ascentis as well as teaching others how to use Ascentis as needed. Also included in the job description is assisting in administrative tasks supporting Human Resources as needed, including completing employment verifications, workers comp responses, disability benefit applications, COBRA notices, Wage Notices and other standard processes.
Qualifications:
- An Associate's Degree or higher is preferred
- 3-5 years of experience with payroll and HRIS Systems
- Experience with Ascentis preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively
- Good decision making and problem solving skills. This requires the ability to analyze information and evaluate results in order to make the best decision in solving problems
