Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. As a Landscape Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to routine maintenance like mulching to more substantial projects such as installing new mulch beds and patios. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Duties: (We supply safety glasses and gloves)
- Clean up work areas, including removing debris and waste.
- Assist with mulching, trimming, weeding, planting, and other landscaping tasks.
- Engage in masonry and other construction-related activities.
- Handle heavy lifting as necessary for project completion
- Dig trenches for irrigation systems or other landscaping projects
- Assist with the planting of new trees, flowers, and other plants
- Remove weeds, leaves, and debris from landscaped areas
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as trimmers, and blowers
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of landscaping techniques
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time
- Familiarity with basic landscaping tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Own durable work boots and pants if you want to be comfortable while working
- Demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.
Skills:
- Hardscape installation
- Groundskeeping
- Tree care and trimming
- Irrigation system installation and maintenance
Work Environment:
- Primarily outdoor work, continuing unless weather conditions present a conflict.
- Safety glasses and gloves will be provided.
- Food and water supplied on larger projects, along with a 45-minute paid break.
- A standard 45-minute paid break for all other jobs
Compensation and Work Hours:
- Part-time; hours vary from 4 to 20 per job.
- Compensation: $18/hour
Location:
- Job sites are in Gaithersburg, North Potomac, Rockville, North Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Washington DC.
