Due to our continued growth, we are seeking Inspector for a Transit project in New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Monitor construction activities associated with installation of scanner systems with an emphasis on maintaining a safe working environment and acceptable workmanship
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reporting to record field activities including work completed, contractor issues, material delivery and installation
- Review contract drawings, specifications and shop drawings to ensure all work conforms to contract requirements
- Assume duties, roles and responsibilities of Office Engineer.
Qualifications
- 5 years' experience working on similar projects
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable electrical codes
- Familiarity with all subsets of scanner systems to be installed
- Experience working in and around operating railroads
- Experience with Site/Civil projects in the transportation sector
- Ability to work the night shift
