Grow with us. The Logue Law Group is a Pittsburgh law firm located on the main street in Carnegie, just outside of downtown. We need a Legal Assistant that shares our goal of providing a polished professional legal service to our clients while we continue to grow as a firm. The role will support multiple attorneys in a variety of ways across a number of practice areas and serve as an initial contact for client intakes and point of contact at the firm.
The support function of this position includes a number of job requirements, including a full range of secretarial duties, including primary responsible for mail processing, phone coverage, scanning and case file management, scheduling and calendar management, preparation of general correspondence, in-person and online filing of case-related documents, and a variety of administrative support related to various projects. The intake function requires courteous and empathetic communications with potential clients to gather information and schedule calls with an attorney.
Qualified candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills, courteous and professional communication skills, strong organization skills, excellent typing and word processing skills, and proficiency using the Microsoft Office and Google Business suite of applications, or the aptitude to master them. Candidates must be self-motivated and have the ability to follow instructions accurately. Preferred candidates will possess prior professional office experience. Prior legal experience is not required for individuals who possess the interest and initiative to learn on the job.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Processing new client matters, coordinate new file opening, and maintain client files.
- Creating and preparing Excel documents; format documents using headers, footers, scaling, page numbering; simple formulas such as adding, subtracting, averages, percentages; creating sorts and filters.
- Working with PDF documents; convert Word documents to PDF, extracting pages, and creating forms.
- Working with Word documents; track changes, formatting, and printing.
- Preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence, filing pleadings with courts and administrative agencies.
- Reviewing and routing incoming mail, preparing outgoing mail, ensuring that all attachments, exhibits, and enclosures are included.
- Preparing and submitting expense reports, scheduling client meetings, managing calendars, and making travel arrangements.
- Assisting attorneys with general administrative work such as typing, copying, scanning, answering phones, filing, transcribing, creating and formatting documents.
- Organizing documents and files, preparing files to be sent to off-site storage, and maintaining logs for files sent off-site.
- Responding promptly and efficiently to all communications.
- Working collaboratively in a team with other staff.
Minimum Requirements:
· High school level education or equivalent office work experience.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
