L212 contains MITRE Enterprise Program and Risk Management thought leaders. The department is composed of recognized subject matter experts, who are proficient in a suite of program and risk management skills including: leading people, project communications, scope management employing Agile, establishing program metrics, developing schedules, and more. The Enterprise Program & Risk Management department provides support across a wide range of MITRE portfolios, employing ~ 90 highly qualified and experienced staff.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with MITRE Project Leader to perform project planning functions such as schedule management, stakeholder management and resource identification.

• Maintain project schedules and develop materials to meet project reporting requirements and key project deadlines.

• Ensure resource availability and allocation, and track project budgets.

• Perform risk analysis and management to minimize project risks, and maintain project risk logs.

• Participate in functional teams and help develop strategies and objectives for team members to execute.

• Conduct analyses and develop diagrams and process maps to document sponsor needs.

• Compile and maintain comprehensive project knowledge management resources, and then transfer that knowledge to others.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in the fields listed below, or equivalent knowledge/skills, and 58 years of related experience.

• Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.

Required Qualifications:

• Prior work experience as a project management specialist or project manager.

• Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent sponsor-facing interpersonal skills.

• Ability to prepare and manage budgets, and to identify, track and mitigate risks.

• Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

• Strong working knowledge of all facets of Microsoft Office and MS Project (or equivalent) .

• Desire to learn and share knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
