The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, located in Seattle, Washington. They are looking for an Experience Legal Assistant/Litigation Support to join their team. The Legal Assistant will be supporting the law firm by organizing and maintaining files, conducting new client intake, and helping with electronic filing. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a high regard for confidentiality, and will need to be able to multitask effectively.
Core responsibilities
Help manage administrative tasks for 2 lawyers
Assist with client intake and preparation of new client files
Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, opposing party, and/or third parties
Maintaining client database and client files
Tracking calendar and document management of various post-judgment litigation deadlines and related pleadings
Managing or assisting with electronic and physical filing for a broad range of litigation related matters (various Superior Courts in Washington State, certain Federal Courts)
Additional office management related tasks as may be assigned
Qualifications/Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, GSuite, Outlook, etc.
Prior experience with CLIO and Washington State Superior Court Court e-filing systems a plus
Must have a high regard for confidentiality
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents, and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team oriented environment
Minimum 2 years of office administration experience All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Candidates applying for this role are required to have US residency at the time of application.
