Busy female business owner of a granola brand looking for an experienced part-time assistant based in New York. This position is hybrid: in-person 1 or 2 days / week with the reset of the work remote.
I need a self-motivated and detailed-oriented assistant with clear communication skills who loves to organize email inboxes, prioritize tasks, manage calendars, and can adapt to various business and personal needs.
Qualifications:
Able to work with ambiguity with strong decision-making skills
Flexible, efficient, team-oriented, and positive attitude
Strong computer skills, including familiarity with applications such as Google Sheets
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Team player; flexible to meet changing business demands
Must be available to work evening and weekend shifts
Duties would include:
Organize email inboxes and prioritize incoming emails.
Book flights, travel accommodations, events, and travel itineraries.
Draft emails, schedule meetings, protect calendar, pick up and oversee mail.
Visit retail stores and check on product in NYC Metro
Personal shopping, grocery shopping, and running errands.
Weekly home maintenance.
Business tasks such as social media management, blog writing, creating job posts, mailing and filling out paperwork.
Send daily and weekly summaries of what I need to prepare for, with status updates on pending tasks.
Other admin work, including filing claims, calling customer service, making returns, etc.
About Me: I live in Brooklyn, NY. My granola brand is sold in various retailers, including Whole Foods and FreshDirect. I currently work with 1 part-time contractor who manages day-to-day operations, while I focus on strategic planning, sales, marketing and finances. I also freelance on the side, and have recently been helping out family and traveling more often. This is why I need extra help!
