Title: Tax Preparer
Location : In-Office Fallbrook, CA
Status : ~ 25 hours per week, January 8 - July 8, 2024
Requirements : QuickBooks experience, Tax Preparation experience
The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, a Certified Public Accountant serving Southern California since 2011, located in Fallbrook, CA! They are looking for a seasonal Tax Accountant to join their team.
The Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing corporate and individual tax returns, assisting clients with accounting research and bookkeeping cleanup, and providing support to the firm principal. The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Accounting (or relevant degree), has strong attention to detail, and superb analytical skills.
Expectation is 20-30 hours per week during the months of February to May, with flexibility in hours outside of that timeframe.
Responsibilities
Assist in the annual close process and to assist with accurate financial reporting
Assist with preparation for year-end tax return preparation
Assist with the establishment, documentation, workflows and forms
Qualifications/Skills
Accounting, Tax, or relevant degree is a plus
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Lacerte Tax Software
Strong attention to detail, deadline-oriented, time management
Data entry management and analytical skills
