We are seeking to hire a full-time Legal Assistant for our Honolulu office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written communication skills with a strong work ethic and heavy attention to detail. Legal experience in a high-volume service-oriented environment, Foreclosure experience is a plus.

SUMMARY: Provides legal/administrative support at the direction of the Paralegal Supervisor. Performs various clerical, data entry, pleading drafting/preparation, and accounting functions. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drafts correspondence and legal documents
- Arranges for the filing of court documents
- Understands court procedures to assist attorneys with filings
- Needs to be familiar with legal terminology
- Scheduling, coordinating, and confirming court dates
- Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail by TS file number
- Sorts and prepares incoming and outgoing mail for scanning to Database
- Scans and verifies documents scanned properly
- Inputs information accurately from a variety of sources into the firm database
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as needed
- Must be able to multi-task, set priorities and work well under pressure
- Assist all attorneys and/or paralegal supervisor with the preparation of pleadings
- Assist all attorneys and/or paralegal supervisor with recording documents at the Bureau of Conveyances.
- Assists with other job assignments as needed/required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Preferred: Minimum of 3 years of Title Curative experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer Skills required: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Adobe Acrobat; Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Access.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
