About our Name
Lyman Pope, a lifelong animal lover, is leaving an indelible mark on shelters across New England. His significant donations spearheaded the construction of four shelters in Thomaston, ME; Orleans, VT; Concord, NH; and Dover, NH, all bearing his name.

The new facility provides spacious indoor and outdoor space and is located on a country road in Dover, NH.
