Position: Board of Directors Members
Reports to: Board President
Salary Range: Volunteer position
The Northwest Network increases our communities’ ability to support the self-determination & safety of bisexual, trans, lesbian and gay survivors of abuse through advocacy, organizing, and education. We work within a broad anti-violence movement dedicated to social & economic justice, equality, and respect for all people & the creation of loving, inclusive and accountable communities. We are looking for members of our community to partner with staff to ensure the sustainability of our direct service work, primarily through fiscal oversight and fundraising.
Responsibilities:
Attend one 2-hour meeting per month with occasional projects outside of meetings (time commitment can range from 2-10 hours per month depending on board position)
Become familiar with organizational by-laws, mission, and values • Review and approve the organization’s annual budget and annual audit, in support of direct service work
Participate in occasional fundraising activities
Participate in the evaluation of executive leadership
Participate in staff-led board development such as interviewing and onboarding new board members
Be responsive to occasional emails between monthly meetings
