Job Title: IELP Administrative Associate Department: EHE | Intercultural English Language Programs This position works in the Intercultural English Language Programs (IELP) within the Department of Teaching and Learning, College of Education and Human Ecology. The IELP Administrative Associate position provides support for the Department of Teaching and Learning's Intercultural English Language Programs (formerly ESL Programs), including: the American Language Program, Spoken English Program, Academic English Writing Program, and International Special Programs. Duties: Serves as front line support for each program including the intake of all calls, emails and inquiries from students, department contacts and external stakeholders. Provides support for the director and coordinators with processing applications, preparing testing schedules and posting test results, recording financial transactions, and is responsible for the scheduling and coordination of logistics and resources for IELP. Assists with program admissions and registration for the American Language Program students and serves as the primary contact for the university's Registrar's Office, the Office of the Bursar, the Graduate School, and the Office of International Affairs. Plays a pivotal role in maintaining the university's Student Information System activities related to the programs; this effort ensures students and external customers are kept aware of student progress and activity within the programs; an essential piece to delivering on IELP's mission and commitment to the university and surrounding community. Helps with special programs as needed, including occasional in-state travels to client sites. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience working in customer service; experience in an office environment handling multiple tasks and establishing priorities; good organizational skills; experience providing administrative support to a broad base of internal customers; considerable experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications; experience with policy interpretation and guidance. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects; Experience working in a higher education setting, preferably working with students; Knowledge of OSU administrative systems such as Workday, BuckeyeLink, and Qualtrics; Experience working with international students, multilingual students, or non-native speakers of English; Knowledge of University policies, rules and regulations. Additional Information: The Target Hiring Range for this position is $15.57-$19.43 per hour.
