Summary:
The HR Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters. This role is responsible for developing resolutions to employee relations issues by providing advice, research (including investigations) and guidance to management and employees, while ensuring compliance with policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provides coaching and counseling to employees and Management to resolve employee relations matters. including policy interpretation and application, conflict resolution, performance management, progressive discipline, grievance, and termination processes and practices.
· Reviews and provides coaching on properly documenting employees
· Addressing complaints from employees
· Leads thorough and timely investigations, traveling to locations as needed. Documents and communicates recommendations and outcomes as appropriate.
· Maintains proper electronic and paper records regarding all employee relation situations
· Consults with VP of Human Resources as appropriate, and/or as directed by the CEO on personnel matters
· Provides information to management and employees on counseling, benefits and other services and programs available to them
· Handles all benefit inquiries to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution
· Reviews and analyzes system-wide employee and operational statistics for HR compliance-related concerns, complaint investigations, grievances, external charges, turnover, and employee engagement to identify trends and areas of potential escalation, and recommends interventions, as appropriate.
Other Duties
· Reviews and makes recommendations to Executive Management for improvement of Company's policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
· Provides HR leadership and guidance to managers and employees in the areas of employee relations, compensation, performance management, goal setting, coaching, and organizational development.
· Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
· Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
· Supports HR projects as needed or as required by HR leadership
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree and/or prior work-related experience required
· 3 years of HR experience
· Professional Human Resources Certification preferred
· Previous experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry a plus
· Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

· Strong employee relations skills and talent management experience

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
· Ability to travel to company locations as needed
