What you would be doing:
The Orchards Director of Nursing (DON) exemplifies our CARING values: Care, Accountability, Respect, Integrity, Nimbleness, and Generosity in all their workplace activities and communications. In this role you will oversee the coordination of care, the financial management of clinical services, and lead, motivate, educate and mentor licensed and certified nursing department staff leading to quality resident care, interventions and outcomes. In this role, you will regularly interact with your team members, residents and their family members, other departments within the facility, visiting healthcare professionals, the home office support team and participate in facility and company committee’s and meetings.
What your work schedule would be:
Your work hours are based during the traditional business week but requires the flexibility to attend to on-demand facility needs either on or off site, as needed.
The successful candidate:
Is a licensed to practice nursing in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse with a preference for a Bachelor’s Degree Nursing, in addition.
Has proven leadership ability with at least two (2) years successful long-term care experience measured by positive outcomes in resident care and financial management of clinical services.
Has excellent people management skills with the ability to build a sense team, motivate, challenge, supervise, instruct and provide formal and informal performance feedback and coaching.
Has strong mix of assessment, organizational, analytical and communication skills to swiftly and properly respond, prioritize and communicate competing demands.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. And, to communicate orally and through written reports and other documents relating to resident, staff and others. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers, and the public.
