The Oregon Clinic's Center for Advanced Surgery Division is seeking an enthusiastic individual to document medical records for patient office visits. Workdays for this position are Mondays from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (8-12 hours a week). This position will work primarily from the office located at the Providence Portland Cancer Center in NE Portland, and will travel two times a month to our office near Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in SW Portland. The ideal candidate will have prior scribing experience, have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, be detail oriented, have exceptional listening skills, and have excellent spelling and grammar skills. On the job training is provided, but preference is given to those with medical knowledge or prior scribe experience.
Starting pay range, based on experience: $14.75 - $18.78 per hour.
Requirements:
- One (1) year of previous Scribe experience is preferred.
- Strong medical terminology, writing skills (spelling and grammar proficiency), and computer proficiency with Windows applications
- Quick and accurate typing/data entry (45 wpm minimum)
- Excellent interpersonal skills including a positive attitude as well as clear communication style
- Ability to multi-task with strong organization skills
