Osborn Engineering is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer with 10 - 15 years of experiences for our office locations who will report to the Manager of Commissioning. Ideal candidate would have project team and client management experience in the building commissioning environment working with private and public sector clients.
Position Responsibilities
- Project and Client management.
- Prepare of proposals and administer project contracts, including Add Service Agreements.
- Work planning and manage the design process to the available hours in the work plan.
- Supervise staff or self-perform the following:
- Development and execution of a project specific commissioning plan involving design review, system installation verification, and functional performance testing.
- Development of spreadsheet analyses and written reports; perform field assessments and on-site commissioning activities.
- Functional testing and activation of Building systems including MEP and Controls Systems.
- USGBC LEED Enhanced and Fundamental commissioning tasks and credit completion.
- Building energy and resource use analysis through building energy simulation software.
- Review commissioning plans and final reports prepared by others as part of Osborn’s QA/QC process.
- Attend meetings with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and other professionals as projects require.
- Conduct business development activities, participating in various trade organizations, and preparing or assisting with presentations.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
- 10 - 15 years of Commissioning Experience in the Building industry.
- Knowledge of design and energy simulation software such as Revit, Energy Gauge, IES VE, HAP, TRACE
- Strong knowledge of MEP/FP Building systems design and construction processes.
- Strong Knowledge of building automation systems.
- Strong Knowledge of Test and Balance process and procedures.
- Experience in designing Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering Preferred.
- CBCP, CCP, CPMP or CxA Certification required.
- LEED AP with specialty a plus.
- PE License Preferred
