In this position, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning, day to day operations, delivery of new services and solutions and capacity planning to ensure IT infrastructure meets the current and future requirements of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Experience working with business to build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, act as a trusted advisor, and manage customer needs and expectations.
- Advanced hands-on experience working with major IT areas of expertise including network, servers, end points, cybersecurity, storage (MSSQL, Azure).
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure our IT systems and infrastructure are secure, reliable, and scalable.
- Oversee change, configuration, and release management for the production environment and ensure changes are tested, communicated, and implemented with minimal business disruption.
- Adhere to infrastructure standards and follow departmental policies and procedures as well as those of the overall company.
- Manage relationships with various technology vendors and negotiate small to medium sized contracts.
- Manage cloud based products like RingCentral, office365, Azure strategy and implementation.
- Continuously develop and manage IT security Infrastructure to mitigate security risks, including cybersecurity concerns, in conjunction with our managed service partners.
- Monitor on-call activities, provide leadership during major outages, disruption of services, disaster recovery and business continuity incidents.
- Provide technical leadership for Windows servers, features, and roles, including DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory, configuration, and network performance.
- Perform Systems health check, capacity planning, and log analysis.
- Helpdesk ticketing system SysAid management and Queue management.
- Drive implementation of Backup solutions and VDI Solutions
- Maintain SLAs on Disaster Recovery RTO/RPO and Security scorecard ranking
- Troubleshooting Active Directory performance, authentication, and replication issues.
- Group policy management, including update and management of password policies.
- Understanding of Active Directory security audit data points and best practices for security settings.
- Office 365 Suite management, including Microsoft team and OneDrive.
- Ensure alerts and monitoring are in place and responded to in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate, participate in, and demonstrate disaster recovery tests for critical systems.
- Create and maintain support documentation, asset inventory, and technical drawings of the enterprise infrastructure.
- Ensure incident and change management processes are followed and impacted teams are communicated with appropriately.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years progressive IT related experience, with at least 5 years of experience directly supervising an IT Team.
- Experience managing medium to large highly technical IT professional teams supporting enterprise-wide IT infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully organize and lead complex technical projects.
- Experience in architecting, designing and implementing technology roadmaps.
- Maintain and monitor inventory of available hardware devices and corresponding software assets to minimize duplication, ensure capacity needs are met and licensing is compliant.
- Oversee management of the IT Service Desk Team, partnering with IT Service Desk Manager to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Work closely with Vice President of Technology and other business leaders, to ensure that our technology strategy aligns with our overall business goals.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Windows Server, Office 365, Active Directory, Terminal Server, IIS Server.
- Disaster recovery planning and development of testing scenarios
- Operational knowledge of VMware vSphere & Nutanix (AHV)
- Experience with Single Sign On (OneLogin/OKTA/ADFS) / ZScalar
- Must have proven written and oral communication skills; strong customer service skills, and leadership skills.
- Must be able to plan, conduct and direct major projects, including project definition, cost assessment, and ROI analysis.
- Ability to work with people at all levels within the organization.
- Must be comfortable working in an ever-changing IT environment, have project management skills, and easily connect with Department staff.
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Sitting at workstation for prolong periods of time. Extensive computer work. Phone work required. Workstation may be exposed to overhead fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Moderate level of reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
