The Plant Company (TPC) is a newly established business currently moving into its Phase 2 production facility. Phase 2 encompasses a ten-acre greenhouse facility along with a 1.5-acre production barn. This is a state-of-the-art, controlled environment greenhouse for the sustainable production of tropical indoor foliage plants of consistent and exceptional quality.

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting & Operations Intern will gain valuable experience and insight into the responsibilities of both the accounting and operations functions of our business through five key projects over the summer. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and seeking an education in accounting or business management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Business Central
  • Assist with the software and other setup for B to C functionality (SPS)
  • Help with BC projects (including Cosmos)

• Operations
  • Help with compiling and organizing metrics
  • Help with operational tasks/projects
• Accounting
  • Help with management reports/budget compilation
  • Assist with invoices or other items requiring payment.
  • Learn and file W-9 and other supporting documents.
  • Learn and assist with new vendor setup.
• Filing / Record Keeping
  • Assist with the maintenance of organized files and supporting documentation.
  • File supporting documentation per company practices.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculators, and copiers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Pursuant of Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.

Must be able to bend, twist, turn, climb, pull, lift, and carry up to 15 pounds throughout the workday.
