Job title: Children's Indoor Play Center Coordinator
Location: 5000 Greenbag Road, Morgantown WV
Position Type: Part-Time – weekends
Schedule: Saturdays 8:00am-4:00pm and/or Sundays 8:00am-4:00pm
*schedule may be able to be shortened to 12:00-4:00 if preferred*
About Us: The Playroom is a boutique play space in Morgantown, WV dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children to play. The Playroom features a variety of play areas and activities, all designed to inspire creativity and learning through play! In addition to drop-in play time, we also offer programs and birthday parties.
Job Overview: We are seeking kind, kid-loving, energetic individuals to join our team as Play Coordinators. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience for children and their families, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and facilitating various activities and programs, including birthday parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Safety: Monitor children to ensure their safety at all times. Engage with parents and children to maintain a friendly and comfortable environment.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to guests, including answering phone calls/texts, assisting with check-ins, taking payments, and addressing concerns or complaints. Be prepared to go above and beyond! Help families carry birthday supplies in, help kids get their shoes on and off, give lot’s of high fives, stamps, and smiles!
- Activity Facilitation: Once trained, lead organized activities such as crafts and other programs. Ensure activities are engaging, fun, and safe.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of play areas, ensuring all equipment and toys are sanitized regularly. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the owner.
- Birthday Party Coordination: Set up, host, and clean up birthday parties and special events. Help create memorable experiences for guests.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children is required. Experience in a customer service role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable engaging with children and parents as well as managing group dynamics effectively.
- Traits: Responsible, reliable, patient, and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in working with children. As a small business, consistency and reliability are extremely important, as you may be scheduled to open and/or close the business and must be on-time and reliable.
- Requirements: Must have reliable transportation. Background check required.
