Washroom Attendant - Commercial Laundry

The Point Laundry, located in Dayton, KY, is currently seeking Washroom Attendants. These positions are full and/or part-time. Candidates must have availability Sunday - Saturday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.

The Wash Attendant is responsible for facilitating the flow of incoming soiled linens through the Washing and Drying areas by loading and unloading commercial washers and dryers.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Organize and sort all incoming soiled linens.
2. Load, unload, and operate Commercial Washers, using the correct filling techniques and appropriate chemical concentrations per load.
3. Load, unload, and operate Commercial Dryers.
4. Weigh incoming carts and record weights as directed by the Lead Supervisor, Assistant Plant Manager, or Plant Manager.
5. Transport laundry carts throughout the plant.
6. Maintain standards of speed, efficiency, and quality as established by The Point Laundry’s policies and procedures. Identify and suggest new ideas to improve production and quality.
7. Maintain high standards of safety and abide by all safety rules and regulations as established by The Point Laundry’s policies and procedures.
8. Assist in the Production and Folding areas of the plant as directed by the Lead Supervisor, Assistant Plant Manager, or Plant Manger.
9. Other duties as assigned by the Lead Supervisor, Assistant Plant Manager, and/or Plant Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

No previous related experience is necessary. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Candidates must be dependable, reliable, and must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must have initiative and problem solving skills and the ability to follow directions, to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, production based environment. Must have availability during day shift and weekend hours.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and to walk for long periods of time. The employee must have the ability to push and pull up to 100-200 lbs. of force frequently and lift 100 lbs. often. The employee must have the ability to use their arms and hands to handle, move, and carry linens. The employee will be exposed to noisy conditions within certain areas of the plant. The employee will be exposed to cold drafts during the winter, and to hot and humid conditions during the summer.
