Overview
One the the top Family Law & Personal Injury Firms in the DFW area is seeking an experienced paralegal with immediate availability. As a Paralegal, you will provide essential support to our attorneys in handling family law & personal injury law cases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in family law and a passion for helping families navigate legal processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist with drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible
- Coordinate client interviews and meetings, including scheduling and preparing necessary materials
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing evidence and exhibits
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in family law
-Experience in personal injury is a plus, but not required
- Strong knowledge of family law procedures, rules, and regulations
- Proficient in legal research methods and utilizing online legal resources
- Experience with document management systems (e.g., iManage) is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
-Have knowedge of electronic filing requirements in State and Federal Courts
-Knoweldge of Outlook, Word, Excel and Smart Advocate preferred
-Bilingual, preferrably Spanish is a plus, but not required
