About the position:
We're looking for a Payroll Administrator to assist in the timely and accurate payroll processing on a weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis and support in accounting/financial functions with generally accepted accounting principles. The Payroll Administrator will engage in activities and projects at multi-departmental level as this accounting position will work closely with Human Resources. Your job responsibilities will include:
- Maintain the data within HR, Time & Attendance, and Payroll Systems within a paperless environment.
- Maintain and update employee records, including tax withholdings and wage garnishments.
- Review and balance Time and Attendance punch detail.
- Process, audit and review payroll information prior to acceptance.
- Develop and run necessary queries for reporting purposes.
- Assist in preparing journal entries, financial reports, and/or conducting/analyzing audits or reconciliations.
- Report wage data for employment verification, disability, and worker's compensation.
- Maintain records of financial documents and other required information with appropriate supporting material.
- File all necessary reports and documents in compliance with company record retention policies.
- Work with Manager and Controller to maintain, monitor, and improve internal controls to provide proper accounting, reporting, and control of all financial activities within the payroll environment.
- Assist in completion of the month-end results close process:
- Prepare standard and non-standard journal entries,
- Analyze, research and review unusual entries or balances,
- Assist in the preparation or review of standard month-end reports, and distribute within deadlines
- Under manager's direction, develop, or improve, and maintain Standard Work Processes for the Payroll Department.

- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential data and maintain professionalism.
About the schedule:
This position is 1stshift, reports in Greene, NY weekly, and may be eligible for a hybrid schedule after the training and orientation period.
About you:
- A High School Diploma is required
- An Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
- Two or more years of related experience
- Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat experience is required
- Good analytical ability to modify existing procedures or techniques is required
- Kronos, ADP, and SAP business systems experience are preferred
- FPC and CPP certification is a plus

About the total compensation package:
Salary-Salaries starting from $17.50 per hour
