LVN Rate $42.50 to $45 per hour
Shift differential for shifts starting after 3pm

POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the job is to provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Clinical Nursing Manager to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LVN in California.
- Experience in direct patient care with seniors in a Skilled Nursing Facility or in Assisted Living preferred.
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- The ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel, and the general public.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and / or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and / or carry such a weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
- Able to assist in lifting and transferring residents as appropriate.
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
