Position SummaryThe incumbent will be directed by the Head Football Coach and assume oversight and responsibility for the football program's activities on a daily basis in departmental operations, especially in relation to the Head Football Coach and program operation. The Deputy Director, Football Administration is responsible for management of assigned areas, serving as a main point of contact for the department operation, and maintaining consistent and equitable policies for football program in regards to other administrative areas and oversee the use of available resources to the program in an equitable, efficient, effective and compliant manner at all times. Primary responsibilities will also focus on the development and well-being of over 115 student-athletes and their growth in all areas as students and leaders in the classroom, fields of competition and in the community. Other duties include the representation of the football program at external events with the Head Football Coach and others in the campus and wider community and oversight of the programs budget and forecasting. Furthermore, this position will serve as the department's administrative liaison in many areas in the department, on campus, within the Big Ten conference and other affiliated conferences, and nationally through the NCAA.

QualificationsTen (10) Years Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in University or corporate operations management, or equivalent work experience in college athletes. (Required) Or
Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities. (Required)
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and solve complex problems. (Required)
Strong management, interpersonal, and organizational skills (Required)
Proven history of excellent administrative and financial management skills. (Required)
Excellent human relations skills and the ability to work with various university constituents ability to develop and use empathetic listening skills, communicate with clarity, and maintain an attitude that conveys respect, cooperation, honesty, and resourcefulness. (Required)
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. (Required)
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information. (Required)
Knowledge of principles of personnel management, including supervision, training and performance evaluation (Required)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs. (Required)
