Job Summary:
The Group Sales Coordinator at The Resort at Longboat Key Club will be responsible for driving group sales revenue through effective communication, organization, and coordination. This individual contributor role will work closely with the sales team to identify potential clients, plan and execute events, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing group bookings. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, salaried position with a pay range of $20-$22 per hour, paid biweekly. The position also offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K, paid time off, and employee discounts at The Resort at Longboat Key Club.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential group clients and drive group sales revenue
- Coordinate and execute all aspects of group events, including site visits, room blocks, catering, and logistics
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide outstanding customer service throughout the booking process
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive repeat business and referrals
- Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and invoices to clients
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and other industry functions to promote The Resort at Longboat Key Club and generate new business
- Collaborate with other departments, including catering and conferences, to ensure seamless execution of group events
- Maintain accurate and organized records of group bookings, contracts, and payments
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to make informed sales decisions
- Assist with administrative tasks and reporting as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Sales, or related field preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in group sales, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Minimum of one year experience in the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client needs
- Knowledge of the Longboat Key area and its attractions is a plus
