Registered Dietitian, Private Practice

We are looking for 2 part time dietitians (as little as 8 hours per week and up to 20 hours per week depending on availability) to join our team and provide MNT to our patients in the private practice setting. Ideally looking for one evening dietitian (i.e. 4-7 pm) and one day-time shift dietitian that can give 1-3 full days part time (i.e. 10am-6pm, 9-5 pm, etc.). Dietitians will be responsible for creating individualized nutrition care plans for patients, providing nutritional counseling, and educating clients on the importance of healthful diet changes for specific diagnoses and general wellness. We primarily see the following at our practice: overweight/obesity, cardiac health, pre-diabetes, type II diabetes, thyroid conditions, and GI conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide evidence based nutrition advice
• Develop nutrition plans and implement interventions based on knowledge of patient’s current health status and goals
• Continue to implement personalized and goal appropriate nutrition strategies during patient follow-ups
• Scheduling follow ups within necessary timeframe based on clinical judgement
• Thorough and concise nutrition care plan documentation of patient visits
• Creating educational materials, blog posts, and recipes

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with one on one counseling preferably in weight management and disease prevention
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field
• Masters Degree preferred, but not required
• Strong motivational interviewing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Social media knowledge preferred
• Strong computer and technology skills (navigating Telehealth platform, google docs, social media platforms, etc).
• Being credentialed with health insurances a positive, but not required
• Must be a Registered Dietitian

Experience/Licensure:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
• Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN), preferred
