The Salty Seal Brewpub and Sports Bar is seeking a part-time weekend Dishwasher/Busser to join a fun team!

Few destinations feature as wide an array of historic, cultural, and natural experiences as Monterey’s Cannery Row. Cannery Row has a high volume of foot traffic which will relate to higher profits for employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Dishwasher/Busser at The Salty Seal Brewpub and Sports Bar, you are a crucial member of our team.

• Helping the bartender when needed. This includes cutting fruit, using the bar glass washer to wash glasses, polishing glassware, helping to roll cutlery.
• Helping the servers bus tables when busy. Removing all glassware, plates, bowls, baskets, cutlery from the table and wiping the table down.
• Cleaning, maintaining, and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, dish room, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as a team with other employees.
• Sweeping and mopping floors around kitchen areas.
• Taking out the trash to designated areas
• Maintains a positive and respectful approach with everyone.
• Help to clear tables and sanitize them for servers to reset

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Operational knowledge of a kitchen and bar dishwasher a plus
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to work under pressure
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 21 years old as we are a bar and you may be behind the bar at times to help wash glassware
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions, and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on occasion, bend down, and reach above your head
