The Receptionist welcomes visitors by greeting them, answering the telephone, and referring inquiries. Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook and issuing visitor badges. Assists Property Department administrative staff with filing, scanning, processing mail, and other clerical duties.

Essential Functions:
- Answer all calls that come in on the main switchboard, directing calls to the correct department or personnel, and/or referring the general public to the proper Salvation Army Center to meet their request.
- Register all visitors and volunteers to the building and issue badges to maintain security of the Territorial Headquarters facility. Notify the appropriate department of visitors’ arrival.
- Keep the front lobby area neat and clean.
- Assist Property Department administrative staff with clerical duties and special projects such as creating, modifying, and formatting Excel spreadsheets; creating, modifying, and formatting Word documents; filing electronic data to various drives or directories, processing mail, scanning documents, attaching scanned documents to Property database, sending emails to divisions regarding processed payments, and other appropriate tasks as directed by supervisor.
- Engage safety/security protocols when necessary.
- Attend and participate in various property meetings as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma.
Experience:
1 year of receptionist and/or clerical office support experience.
Basic experience with Microsoft Office 365, Excel spreadsheets, Word, e-mail and the internet.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication.
Ability to take direction.
Ability to work individually and as a team member.
Proper phone etiquette.
