SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Schedule, direct, and guide all public, private, and in-house activities.- Schedule and give direct supervision to the gymnasium.
- Participate in staff meetings with community center employees.
- Work to develop groups, leagues, and other organized activities.
- Ensure any and all instructors under supervision have or obtain appropriate certification by either ACSM, ACE, AFAA or NCSF.
- Develop, establish, administer, and evaluate wellness programs. Work with Corps Officer to establish spiritual wellness programs.
- Recruit, train, schedule, evaluate and directly supervise healthiness staff.
- Understand and enforce all rules and regulations in the employee manual; evaluate wellness staff employees on the basis of the employee manual.
- Ensure all equipment is inspected on a regular interval; submit work orders and service calls as necessary; ensure facility repair work is completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain capital equipment schedule and keep up to date, ensure an adequate supply and reserve of program materials; conduct regular inventory on all equipment and supplies.
- Maintain clear channels of communication with staff, volunteers, and program participants. This will include the writing of internal memos, schedules, flyers, website & social networking content, newsletters, and one-on-one discussions.
