What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at The Sembrich?
The Sembrich is seeking an energetic and self-driven individual to join our team as Groundskeeper. This individual will perform landscape maintenance and care of outdoor facilities. The position is part-time and seasonal, from late April through October.
Responsibilities:
· Routine lawn maintenance
· Trimming small trees, hedges, and shrubs
· Removing unwanted leaves, dead or damaged trees, and other vegetation
· Planting shrubs and flowers
· Watering gardens, lawns, and landscapes
· Monitoring and maintaining plant health
· Maintaining gravel, wood chip, and asphalt pathways
· Other outdoor duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
· Groundskeeping experience
· Ability to work independently
· Love of the outdoors
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Knowledge of native horticulture and / or ecology
· Experience safely using landscaping equipment and tools
Additional Details
· Wage: $18/hour
· Work schedule established by mutual agreement, and can range from 8-20 hours/week
· All work will be completed during daylight hours
