The Shop is a family-owned and operated upscale pizzeria in Rancho Bernardo Town Center. We specialize in deep dish and traditional crust pizza matched with a full menu featuring house-made appetizers, sandwiches and salads. The Shop features modern decor, beautiful patio and full bar.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a versatile and proactive Front-of-House (FOH) Manager/Assistant Manager to oversee various aspects of our restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily floor operations, developing an innovative bar program, coordinating special events, maintaining a vibrant social media presence, and spearheading community outreach initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
Team Management and Service Excellence:
- Supervise, train, and motivate FOH staff for optimal performance.
- Ensure exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction.
- Assign and oversee completion of side work duties with accountability.
Floor Operations and Accountability:
- Manage table assignments, reservations, and guest seating efficiently.
- Monitor table service for prompt and courteous delivery.
- Hold team members accountable for their responsibilities.
FOH Inventory Maintenance:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for FOH supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and replenishment of stock.
- Implement efficient inventory tracking systems to minimize waste and optimize usage.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for FOH operations.
- Ensure consistency and efficiency in daily tasks and routines.
- Train staff on SOPs to maintain high-quality service standards.
Financial Management and Bookkeeping:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports with daily cash drops etc
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast variances.
- Oversee daily financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
Beverage Program Management:
- Collaborate on diverse and appealing drink menu creation.
- Standardize recipes and adjust pricing strategies for profitability.
- Introduce specialty cocktails and promotions to drive sales.

Hourly plus tips, which range from $30 - $45
